We are excited to announce that Liberty Credit Union officially joined Plane Saver Credit Union on 1st of July.
This marks an exciting new chapter for our organisation and our members. As part of Plane Saver Credit Union, you’ll benefit from access to a wider range of savings accounts, affordable loans, enhanced digital banking facilities and the continued support of a strong, member-owned financial cooperative.
Most importantly, your savings remain safe and secure, and your membership continues as normal throughout the transition.
What Does This Mean for Me?
There is very little you need to do at this stage.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll keep you informed about the operational changes to complete the merger and provide everything you need to access your account and services following the transition.

Key Dates
Tuesday 1st July 2026
Plane Saver Credit Union formally assumed responsibility for Liberty Credit Union.
Friday 17th July 2026
From this date:
- New membership applications submitted through the Liberty Credit Union website will be redirected to Plane Saver Credit Union’s online membership application.
- If you wish to apply for a loan before the systems integration, please contact the Liberty Credit Union branch or call us, and we’ll be happy to help.
Before the End of July
You’ll receive your new Plane Saver member number by email, SMS or post. You’ll need this number to register for Plane Saver online banking and the mobile app after the systems integration.
Friday, 31st July 2026 (2pm)
Deadline for submitting withdrawal requests ahead of the systems integration.
Monday, 3rd August 2026
Liberty member accounts will be transferred into Plane Saver’s banking system.
During this time:
- Online services will be temporarily unavailable.
- Member accounts will be migrated to Plane Saver’s banking platform.
- We may not be able to deal with account-specific enquiries until the migration has been completed.
From Tuesday, 4th August 2026
You’ll be able to:
- Register for Plane Saver online banking
- Download and use the Plane Saver mobile app
- Access your account online
- Apply for Plane Saver loans
- Open additional savings accounts
- Explore the wider range of products and services available to Plane Saver members
Branch services will continue as normal.
